Mission: Honour & Blood
Location: Various

Mavis strode out of her ready room onto the bridge. It wasn't anything special or grand, but it served a purpose. She moved to the centre area and slowly eased herself into the centre chair.

"Commander" she said simply addressing Sora. "Are all arrangements in order to ship out of this hell hole?".

Sora was walking across the bridge, inspecting all stations' readiness for departure and going over the latest reports on her PADD. Finally happy that everything was ready, she sat in her seat next to the Captain's seat and stowed the PADD. "All departments reporting ready, Captain. I doubt we are going to be any readier than we already are."

"Well" Mavis replied simply. "What are you waiting for?" She asked. She wanted Sora to step up and take the ship out, the Asha was only docked, it wasn't anything special like a dry dock launch.

The Commander couldn't help but chuckle. "Well, you haven't told me where you want to go, and since I didn't want to assume," she said, trailing off at the end.

Mavis smiled, a sort of smile that a wife may give to her husband when he's done something wrong. In a sweet innocent sounding tone sae simply said "Anywhere but here..."

Down in Engineering, Lazarus was busy maintaining the ships systems and communicating with his team. Since he first arrived, the Engineering crew had grown a fond appreciation for him. He had been active in supporting the less capable individuals, doing his best to tutor them with the help of the other experienced junior officers. As he completed another sweep of the systems, he quickly reported his department ready for departure. The Asha was as primed as she would ever be.

Keziah decided to sit up on the bridge for the departure - leaving her second in command in charge down in the Marine barracks. She looked around the bridge for a vacant seat before taking it - not really caring who it belonged to.

"The Marines are ready for deployment on your command Captain" Keziah reported.

Sora acknowledged the incoming reports, before turning back to the Captain. "Well, if you have no preferred destination, sir, may I suggest we start with a trial run to see if all our systems are running at optimal?"

Mavis nodded. "Well, lets see what she can do shall we?" she said simply.

The Commander smiled and opened a ship-wide comm channel. "All hands, this is Commander Sora speaking. Prepare to disengage docking mechanisms and ready for departure. The Captain has ordered a trial run, and that is what we will do. All crew to departure stations and confirm readiness to depart."

"This is Engineering reporting all systems are ready," Lazarus said through his communicator. "Just say the word and you got the juice."

"Full speed ahead. I'm not one for wasting time" Mavis said simply. She was eager to get out there, finally able to be free to do what she wanted.

Keziah sat at her station and waited patiently for the ship to depart. She had not yet told the TGU of her elevated position on the Asha - as Keziah had decided it would be too risky to try and contact them just yet. That could wait.

"Get those impulse engines running hot!" declared Lazarus to his crew. It was a flurry of productive activity in engineering, the ship now underway.

The Asha dashed forward and soon jumped to warp. Mavis stood up on the bridge. "Keep us on course. I expect status updates shortly" she said simply as she walked into her ready room.
